Job Summary

TestPros is looking for a driven, self starting individual willing to roll up their sleeves in a cross-functional and complex data center environment.  As an Enterprise Host Based Security System (HBSS) ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Systems Engineer, you will provide services in support of the U.S. Coast Guard, to include operational and technical engineering support for the implementation, testing, integration, interoperability, and sustainment of information technologies comprising OSC capabilities. You will provide engineering, testing and technical support in the implementation of OSC security tools, technologies, and processes.  Support government efforts in continued deployment of enterprise OSC capabilities that directly support the U.S. Coast Guard's maturing transformation and modularity concepts, doctrine, architecture, and organizations.

It is preferred that you have at least 2 years of related IT Security experience, and knowledge of IT Security assessment guidelines such as the NIST 800-53.  This position requires full U.S. Citizenship and an active/recent US Government clearance.  You will be located in Kearneysville, WV.

Position Requirements:

You must have experience in Information Assurance (IA) IT Security, and the related processes and documentation.

You must also have the following background/experience and qualifications:

Specific Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze DoD and U.S. Coast Guard policies to mitigate problems in implementing new HBSS modules and changes to the configuration of existing modules.
  • Review existing documentation and plans, as well as new draft documentation, to ensure they accurately detail the implementation of HBSS capabilities within the OSC.
  • Review project requirements and design documentation to ensure solutions are consistent, gaps are not present and solutions are not redundantly developed.
  • Recommends information assurance/security solution to support customers' requirements--Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
  • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirement based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory and resource demands.
  • Troubleshoot HBSS deployments in Windows and non-Windows environments.
  • Communications/Documentation:
  • Participate in the development, review and de-confliction of customer information system security policy and standards, including writing guidelines, standards, procedures, and other technical documentation (technical roadmaps, project plans, etc.).
  • Provide detailed security-related reports including data, analyses, and conclusions upon completion of tests, scans, and assessments, including mitigations and if indicated, the appropriate escalation of identified risk and vulnerabilities.
  • Keep management apprised of impending areas of concern, verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable in conveying project/task material to individuals in small and large groups.


  • Manage project scope and expectations to ensure requirements are understood, enabling swift delivery while maintaining communication with project-level stakeholders.
  • Maintain and /or increase proficiency of their knowledge of the latest security techniques and technologies, advances in combating unauthorized access to information systems, and industry best practices.
  • Capability to think creatively and make decisions, attention to detail, adaptable to changing requirements and technological landscape.


  • IAT Level II Information Assurance certification. IA Certification Category and Level (IAW DoD 8570.10-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field or equivalent work experience.  
  • Prior system administrator experience in the Server/VM environment.

Secret Clearance required.
